Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelts Museum first opened its doors to the public on September 13, 1976, showing some 100 artworks by Else Alfeltunder the headline FIRST EXHIBITION. Now, to celebrate the museum’s 40th anniversary, we have recreated its very first exhibition, which was curated by Carl-Henning Pedersen himself.
Decorated with over 100 artworks by Else Alfelt, the original museum building from 1976 – known as the Round Gallery – will be filled to the brim.
