The Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelt Museum is an artists' museum built around a unique collection of the couple's artworks. Carl-Henning Pedersen donated several thousand of his and his wife's paintings to the city of Herning, which in 1976 founded the museum.
Today, the museum stores works from three different collections:
• The museum's own collection
• The Carl-Henning Pedersen Foundation's collection
• Sidsel Ramson's collection
In total, the museum houses more than six thousand artworks by the two artists.
