Exhibition at Bovbjerg Lighthouse: BOVBJERGET – Artistic Lives by the North Sea, 3 Sept – 26 Oct.
”Bovbjerget – Artistic Lives by the North Sea” is the first exhibition to focus on the artistic lives of Else Alfelt and Carl-Henning Pedersen by the western coast of Jutland. The artists were fascinated by the rough and wind-blown landscape by the North Sea, and in 1959 they were able to establish a studio in the village of Bovbjerg. Until 1974 this studio was their joint summer home where they created a number of their major works.

ORIGIN
ORIGIN is a work of sound art by Danish composer Ditte Rønn and an interpretation of Carl-Henning Pedersen’s monumental “The Play of Imagination around the Wheel of Life” from 1966-68. The work is activated by motion sensors when visitors enter the inner Angli courtyard. It greets visitors through a 14-channel loudspeaker system placed on the roof of the circular Angli building, cloaking them in wall-to-wall sound. The open-air sound artwork is free of charge.
